Neuros Medical Receives Approval for Pilot Study of Electrical Nerve Block Technology

Neuros Medical, a Cleveland based neuromodulation company, has received approval from the FDA to start a pilot clinical trial to evaluate its high-frequency Electrical Nerve Block technology for use in acute treatment of pain in the residual limb of amputees, according to a company news release.

This test will build off a feasibility study earlier this year in which four out of five patients reported significant pain reduction. Chronic amputation pain affects one million patients in the U.S.
