Physicians reveal the top facilities for several surgeries, including spine procedures and total hip replacements, in Medscape's  Physicians' Choice: Top Hospitals 2018 report.

Medscape surveyed 11,549 physicians.

Here are the top facilities for hip replacement procedures:

1. Hospital for Special Surgery (New York City)
2. Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus (Rochester, Minn.)
3. Cleveland Clinic
4. Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston)
5. Rush University Medical Center (Chicago)
6. New England Baptist Hospital (Boston)
7. (Tied). The Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore)
7. (Tied): Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles)

Here are the top facilities for spinal cord injuries:

1. Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus
2. (Tied) Massachusetts General Hospital
2. (Tied) The Johns Hopkins Hospital
4. Cleveland Clinic
5. (Tied) Hospital for Special Surgery
5. (Tied) Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
7. (Tied) Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago)
