First outpatient spine cases performed at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush ASC

Kern Singh, MD, and his team completed the first minimally invasive spine surgeries at the new Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush ASC in Oak Brook, Ill., Nov. 7.

Four patients underwent minimally invasive lumbar decompressions and were sent home two hours after surgery. The ASC has equipment for outpatient lumbar and cervical laminectomies, artificial disc replacements and fusions.

The ASC has six operating rooms, 28 patient bays and two procedure rooms.
