The new contract will cover minmally invasive procedures including artficial disc replacement and other complex spine surgeries for Blue Shield members, DISC said in a March 13 news release.
“The local Blue Shield team was also able to move quickly on this so there would be no lapse in coverage for any of our patients,” TriasMD CEO James Becker, said in the release.
DISC Surgery Center opened in 2011, and more than 4,500 spine procedures have been performed. Its parent company is TriasMD.
