ASC begins using Life Spine’s spine solutions: 4 takeaways

The first procedures using Life Spine’s Centerline Cortical Screw System and the Prolift Expandable Spacer System were completed in an ASC.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Bryan Barnes of Athens-based Georgia Neurological Surgery & Georgia Comprehensive Spine said both the Centerline and Prolift systems have been, “an outstanding complement to the utilization of robotic technologies at ASCs. … As the demand for outpatient spine surgery increases, Life Spine has provided a commitment to the utilization of robotic and MIS surgery.”

2. Both the Centerline and Prolift systems are placed through robotic surgery.

3. Prolift allows for in-situ disc height restoration and for PLIF, TLIF and oblique approaches.

4. The Centerline system features a 4.75mm cobalt chrome rod which is used for cortical and pedicular fixation.
