After spine surgery, Steelers’ Ryan Shazier heads to outpatient therapy: 3 points

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center discharged Steelers Ryan Shazier to its outpatient program following spine surgery, according to the Bleacher Report.

Here are three points:

1. Mr. Shazier will continue his rehabilitation at UPMC Centers for Rehab Services, part of the hospital’s outpatient center.

2. After suffering a spinal contusion, Mr. Shazer underwent spinal stabilization surgery.

3. UPMC physicians have not released additional information about Mr. Shazier’s recovery. The linebacker’s father told WPIX-TV, Mr. Shazier regained feeling in his legs and was progressing daily.
