The new facility can accommodate same-day orthopedic procedures such as total knee replacements, total hip replacements, spinal fusions and disc replacements.
Vantage Surgery Center is a joint venture between Virtua — a Marlton, N.J.-based health system — and physician investors from Sewell, N.J.-based Reconstructive Orthopedics, Voorhees, N.J.-based Advanced Pain Consultants and Mount Holly, N.J.-based Pain Care Associates.
“Over the next 10 years, it is estimated that 50 percent of all joint replacements will be performed as outpatient procedures,” Virtua President and CEO Dennis W. Pullin said in a press release. “Virtua and our physician partners are always working to stay ahead of the curve and improve our patients’ experiences and outcomes.”
