Mark Hanna, MD, a joint replacement surgeon at Resurgens and medical advisor and physician champion of the United Surgical Partners International myJOINT Health Rapid Recovery Joint Replacement Program, drove the initiative. He performed surgery on the patient at Resurgens St. Joseph’s campus in December 2016 and reported the patient continues to improve.

Dr. Hanna and Resurgens hope to participate in Operation Walk in the future and provide additional surgeries to the local underserved population. “It was a truly heartwarming experience to help someone in need,” said Resurgens Administrator Anne Liney.
