Craig Roberto, DO, an orthopedic surgeon who practices at Niagara Regional Surgery Center in Lockport N.Y., uses the NanoScope, a needlelike surgical instrument with a camera on the end to perform arthroscopic procedures, according to the Lockport Union-Sun Journal.

Athrosurface's HemiCap implant replaces only the damaged part of the joint, leaving most of the healthy joint in place, which helps patients recover better compared to traditional joint replacements, according to mechanical engineering trade publication Machine Design.
