La Peer Health Systems launches new hip surgery program that allows for faster recovery

Beverly Hills, Calif.-based La Peer Health Systems launched its new hip surgery program, which includes total hip replacement and a hip preservation treatment known as periacetabular osteotomy.

 Here's what you need to know:

1. The new program is designed to treat a variety of hip ailments, including joint conditions, injuries of the hip, hip dysplasia, hip arthritis, hip joint infections, cartilage tears and hip fractures.

2. The program specializes in minimally invasive procedures, speeding up patient recover to between six to 12 months after surgery.

3. "Introducing this new orthopedic program will provide our patients with a variety of options for treatment that will best resolve their current condition, provide relief and minimize the need for future procedures," said Tigran Garabekyan, MD.

4. La Peer Surgery Center focuses on inpatient care, and offers personal care in a controlled environment across 16 specialty departments, including orthopedics, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and spinal surgery.
