The proposed rule, which came out in late July, would add total knee arthroplasty (CPT code 27447) to the ASC-payable list along with knee mosaicplasty and three coronary intervention procedures.
The proposed rate for knee mosaicplasty, CPT code 29867, is $2,790.88.
CMS is accepting comments until Sept. 27 on whether it should impose any limitations on TKA in ASCs.
