Cerapedics adds board member, appoints new chair — 3 things to know

Orthobiologics company Cerapedics named Doug Kohrs to its board of directors while also naming Antony Koblish the board's chair.

Here's what you should know:

1. Cerapedics made the announcement at the North American Spine Society's 2017 annual meeting, Oct. 25 to Oct. 28 in Orlando, Fla.

2. Mr. Kohrs has 35 years of medical device industry experience. He has worn various hats during his career including founder, board member and executive.

Notably, he founded Responsive Orthopedics, which he sold to Medtronic in 2016.

3. Mr. Koblish has 25 years of medical device industry experience. He serves as the co-founder, president and CEO of TELA Bio, a biosurgical reconstruction company. He is the past president and CEO of Orthovita, an orthobiologics and biosurgery medical device company.
