American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine honors Dr. Robert LaPrade and colleagues: 4 facts

Robert LaPrade, MD, PhD and colleagues from the Vail, Colo.-based Steadman Philippon Research Institute received four awards at the 2018 American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine annual meeting, July 5 to July 8 in San Diego.

1. The four awards included the Fellow Research Award – Basic Science, Cabaud Memorial Award, AJSM Systematic Review Award and the 2018 William A. Grana Award for Best Original Research.

2. AOSSM awards are given to researchers who produce cutting-edge research in key areas of orthopedic sports medicine.

3. “Dr. LaPrade is a leader in the field of orthopedic research,” said Matthew Provencher, MD, 2018 AOSSM program committee member. “The research caliber that SPRI produces pushes scientists around the world to improve patient outcomes.”
