Unifeye Vision Partners partnered with Premier Surgery Center in Santa Maria, Calif.

OCLI Vision, an ophthalmology practice backed by management services organization Spectrum Vision Partners, has added its first practice in Westchester County, N.Y., with the acquisition of Hawthorne-based Hudson Valley Eye Associates. 

A federal jury has found Precision Lens, a cataract surgery lens distribution company, along with its majority owner Paul Ehlen liable for $43 million in illegal kickbacks, StarTribune reported Feb. 28. 

Hadley has combined resources and partnered with Lumata Health to serve patients experiencing vision loss.

Binghamton, N.Y.-based Twin Tiers Eye Care Associates has joined Pine City, N.Y.-based Guthrie Medical Group, ABC and CBS affiliate WENY reported Feb. 22. 

The first ophthalmologic biosimilar did not launch in the U.S. until July 2022, and some prescribers are still cautious about their uses, according to Cardinal Health's 2023 "Biosimilars Report," which surveyed over 350 providers in four physician specialties.
