Dr. Panigrahi will serve as vice president, medical affairs, a newly created position. He now leads Sucampo’s global medical affairs efforts.
Dr. Panigrahi joins Sucampo from Provision Pharmaceutical Consulting. Prior to Provision, he worked at QLT, Alcon Laboratories and Merck & Co.
Dr. Panigrahi earned his MD in medical sciences, from Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia, interned in internal medicine at Mercy Medical Center/University of Maryland and completed his training with a residency in ophthalmology at Georgetown-Washington Hospital Center.
