Dr. Kraushar died Aug. 16. He was 74.
Dr. Kraushar was a graduate of Poly Prep Country Day School, Bowdoin College and Tufts University School of Medicine. After completing a residency in ophthalmology, Dr. Kraushar completed a fellowship in medical and surgical diseases of the retina at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School.
He served as chief of ophthalmology at Beth Israel Medical Center and the Interfaith Medical Center in New York City, was a clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and an associate clinical professor of ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Kraushar was an attending physician in ophthalmology at Saint Barnabas and Overlook hospitals and was director of the Retina Center of New Jersey. He also served as the eye surgeon for the New Jersey Devils professional hockey team.
