Ophthalmologist Dr. John Espy Dead at 81

Ophthalmologist John W. Espy, MD, has died, according to a Jeffersonian Democrat obituary.

Dr. Espy died Dec. 22. He was 81.

 

Dr. Espy graduated from Cornell University Medical School in 1956. He maintained a private ophthalmology practice in New York, and was an attending ophthalmologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital and clinical professor of ophthalmology at Columbia University.

 

He retired in 2011, and was appointed clinical professor emeritus of ophthalmology in 2012.
