The seven loci identified were B3GALTL, ADAMTS9/MIR548A2, COL8A1/FILIP1L, SLC16A8, TGFBR1, RAD51B and IER3/DDR1.
The study was a result of work done through the National Eye Institute of the NIH AMD gene consortium, which includes over 60 institutes worldwide.
