8 Recent Eye Surgery Center Openings, Mergers & Acquisitions

Growth ChartHoopes Vision has opened an eye surgery facility in Draper, Utah. The facility includes the ambulatory surgery center EyeSurg of Utah, examination rooms, a laser surgery suite and clinical research center.

Eva Liang, MD, has opened the Center for Sight in Las Vegas. The center will offer LASIK surgery, eyelid surgery and ocular disease treatment.

Ryan Pine, MD, has opened Advanced Ophthalmology in Charleston, Ill. The practice will offer macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and cataract treatment services.

This fall, Amjad Hammad, MD, plans to open his new, larger Saratoga Vitreo-Retinal Ophthalmology location in Malta, N.Y. Dr. Hammad specializes in retina surgery.

LASIK Vision Institute, which has 41 locations across the U.S., has opened its Long Island LASIK Eye Surgery Center in Garden City, N.Y.

Fitzhugh Vision Clinic
is planning an expansion that includes the addition of Kyle Klingler, MD, and a move to a larger Twin Falls, Idaho, location.

Newsom Eye & Laser Center
in Tampa, Fla., has acquired Guggino Eye Center, also located in Tampa.

New Eyes, Las Vegas practice led by Helga Pizio, MD, has merged with Eye Care Associates of Nevada. The Eye Care Associates include Todd Hartman, MD, Doug Devries, MD, and Paul Hiss, MD. Dr. Pizio will move her office to the former Eye Care Associates Location.
