Port Huron Hospital’s director of ambulatory, clinic services featured for work with community: 5 things to know

Along with her husband Larry, Kathy Smith, Mich.-based Port Huron Hospital’s director of ambulatory and clinic services, was featured in The Times Herald for her work in the community and at the hospital.

Here are five things to know about Ms. Smith:

1. Ms. Smith has been employed for over 40 years at Port Huron Hospital, now McLaren Port Huron, part of Flint, Mich., based McLaren Health Care Corporation.

2. While her husband worked in radio, Ms. Smith knew she wanted to be a nurse since the age of five.

3. Ms. Smith received her Masters of Science in management from Walsh College in Troy, Mich.

4. Her husband’s radio station and the hospital paired for Breast Cancer Awareness Month as well as a radio show dedicated to the area’s star students.

5. McLaren Port Huron Hospital is today a 186-bed not-for-profit community hospital, providing outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures.
