4 new board members for AAAHC

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care elected a new board of officers.

The new board officers are:

• Frank J. Chapman, MBA — Chair of the board of directors
• Meena Desai, MD — Vice chair
• Kenneth M. Sadler, DDS — Treasurer
• Arnald Valedon, MD — Board secretary

Dr. Chapman is the COO of Ohio Gastroenterology Group and a board representative from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the first non-physician to hold a seat on the practice management committee of ASGE. He is also a past president of the Medical Group Management Association’s Gastroenterology Administrators Assembly.

“The AAAHC focus on patient safety and increasing the quality of care, combined with a more consultative and collegial survey experience, continues to attract more and more organizations with a similar mission to seek accreditation from AAAHC,” said Mr. Chapman.
