Dr. Korovin, though not privileged at Yorkville Endoscopy, began to perform a procedure to examine Ms. Rivers’ throat, soon after which she went into cardiac arrest. The lawsuit alleges that Dr. Korovin left the procedure room and did not attempt to resuscitate the patient.
Dr. Korovin’s attorney has stated that she was actually the last physician to leave the room, according to the report.
The other physicians and nurses in the room will likely testify as to whether or not Dr. Korovin remained in the room if the case goes to trial, according to the report.
