President Barack Obama released this year’s Federal Taxpayer Receipt, which shares how tax dollars are spent, based on percentages from the prior fiscal year budget. Here are five things to know:

1. The percentage of the tax bill spent on healthcare jumped 22 percent from 2012 to 2014.

2. The healthcare spending is primarily on Medicare and Medicaid.

3. While healthcare spending rose, defense spending was down 9 percent, but benefits for veterans are up 45 percent from 2010.

4. Users can punch their tax liability to see dollar amounts assigned to each category.

5. The website also shows links to show how the Democrat and Republican tax plans would impact users.
