Oakleaf Surgical Hospital has completed construction of a surgery center in Altoona, Wis., according to an Oct. 5 report from Gazette Xtra.

River Prairie Surgery Center is at the site of a former HSHS hospitals and Prevea Clinic location.

As need continues to grow, the facility will be able to provide care for 6,000 to 9,000 more patients a year.

The center will begin surgical procedures in January 2026, the report said.
