Richmond-based VCU Health has filed plans to build a medical office building that includes an ASC, Richmond Biz Sense reported March 27.

The building will be four stories and 100,000 square feet, situated on 8.5 acres. According to the report, the project represents a “relocated and enlarged version” of a previously planned 60,000-square-foot outpatient surgery center and office facility. The system pulled out of those plans after acquiring the current site.

The project includes a 540-space parking lot. The outpatient component of the building is expected to cost $33.4 million.
