Valley Medical Center wins CON for $12.7M ASC — 4 highlights

Renton, Wash.-based Valley Medical Center received a certificate of need Feb. 26 to build an ASC with six operating rooms.

Four highlights:

1. The approved capital expenditure for Valley Covington (Wash.) ASC is $12,715,827.

2. Four of the ORs will be dedicated to multispecialty procedures. Two will be used for procedures such as endoscopies.

3. Surgeons at Valley Covington ASC will perform procedures that require anesthesia services.

4. The CON requires Valley Covington ASC to provide charity care.
