Spine surgery center finds home in new South Carolina medical facility

A new three-story medical facility in Mount Pleasant, S.C., includes a spine surgery center, according to Contineo Group, a civil engineering and design firm that worked on the development.

Occupying about 70,000 square feet, the new East Cooper Medical Offices development is an expansion of East Cooper Medical Center. Mount Pleasant-based East Cooper Medical Center is a 140-bed acute care hospital affiliated with Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.

Mount Pleasant-based The Southeastern Spine Institute was involved in the development. The specialty practice has a team of 12 physicians, three affiliated physicians and 13 physician assistants.
