SCA opens Charleston Surgery Center’s new building — 3 quick highlights

Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates recently celebrated the grand opening of a 22,700-square-foot surgery center, according to the marketing director of Davis Wince, an architecture, planning and design firm involved in the project.

Three quick highlights:

1. SCA’s Charleston Surgery Center recently moved to the newly built facility in Summerville, S.C. Charleston Surgery Center was established in 1988.

2. The multispecialty ASC is equipped with four operating rooms, one procedure room and one endoscopy suite. It has 90 physicians on staff.

3. Davis Wince worked closely with state agencies and SCA to ensure the development would satisfy national standards and local needs.
