Greater Commercial Lending, an investment company that provides loans to companies in rural communities, landed $80 million in government-guaranteed funding to build a medical center in Zachary, La.

Jefferson City, Mo.-based Capital Region Medical Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new ASC Jan. 19, the News Tribune reported Jan. 20.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health has partnered with Wake Forest University to break ground on the first medical school in the city of Charlotte, according to a Jan. 17 report from NPR affiliate WFAE.

Omaha-based Children's Hospital and Medical Center is set to begin construction on a 60,000-square-foot pediatric outpatient center.

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare broke ground on a new ASC in Layton, Utah, on Jan. 12, according to a Jan. 13 report from the Standard-Examiner.

Newmark Healthcare has arranged a $30 million construction loan to develop a 99,000-square-foot medical office building in Madison, Miss., according to a Jan. 11 report from Rebusiness Online. 

Fisherville, Va.-based Augusta Health held a ribbon cutting on Jan. 11 for its new 60,000-square-foot Augusta Health Outpatient Pavilion. 

In 2013, Bon Secours signed a performance agreement promising the construction of a 25,000-square-foot medical office building in the East End of Richmond, Va. On Jan. 10, 10 years later, the office building finally opened its doors to the public.
