Here are the 10 most expensive ASC projects Becker's has reported on since Jan. 1:

New York City-based NYU Langone Health opened the Joseph S. and Diane H. Steinberg Ambulatory Care Center, a multispecialty center offering outpatient surgeries, cancer care and other services in Brooklyn, the city's second-largest borough.

Becker's has reported on 10 ASCs opened or announced in March:

New York City-based Jamaica Hospital Medical Center has begun construction on an ASC that will be located on the second floor of its main hospital in Queens, according to a March 30 report from the Queens Chronicle.

Optum Health affiliate Everett Clinic has opened a 39,500-square-foot facility with 50 exam rooms and an ASC in Arlington, Wash., according to a March 29 report from HeraldNet.

Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health, an affiliate of Intermountain Health, broke ground on an 80,000-square-foot medical office building with an ASC in Aurora, Colo., according to a March 28 report from Sentinel Colorado.

Two major health systems have announced plans to build multiple ASCs in the coming years throughout California and New York. 

Dothan, Ala.-based Southeast Health Medical Center has opened a new ASC, the Southeast Health Surgery Clinic, in the building formerly occupied by the Southeast Health Neuro Spine Center, according to a March 27 report from CBS affiliate WTVY.

Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health has announced plans to construct more than 24 ambulatory care centers across Northern California over the next four years, according to a March 28 report from the Sacramento Bee.

California, Texas and Florida are the three states with the most ASCs.
