New ASC Development

St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare plans to add a $21.3 million medical office building an hour south of the city in Farmington, Mo., according to an Aug. 21 report from the St. Louis Business Journal. 

Four major local healthcare systems are planning to open ASCs, medical office buildings or both in Folsom, Calif., according to an Aug. 18 report from the Sacramento Business Journal. 

Here are five hospitals and health systems that have opened or have plans to open ASCs that Becker's has reported on since April 22:

Rochester, Minn.-based Olmsted Medical Center is breaking ground on a new ASC in Owatonna, Minn., according to an Aug. 13 report from local ABC station News 6.

Florence, S.C.-based McLeod Health is starting construction this fall on a $15.3 million ASC with four operating rooms and two procedural rooms in Carolina Forest, S.C., according to an Aug. 12 report from The Post and Courier. 

York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health plans to construct an ASC and medical office building in the state's South Middleton Township.

The previously shuttered Fulton, Mo.-based Callaway Community Hospital has rebranded to ZivaMedical Fulton and plans to reopen with an ASC, an emergency department, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, primary care clinic and specialty clinics, according to an Aug. 5 report from…

Rockville Centre, N.Y. based Catholic Health opened an ambulatory and urgent care center in Centereach, N.Y.

Ridgecrest (Calif.) Regional Hospital completed the certification to reopen an ASC formerly owned and operated by a now-defunct private physician group, The Daily Independent reported Aug. 4.
