Here are four moves regarding Southern ASCs that Becker's has reported on since Aug. 14:

The Oxford (Miss.) Surgery Center has broken ground on a 4,620-square-foot expansion, according to a Sept. 8 report from The Oxford Eagle. 

An ASC in the Staten Island borough of New York City is seeking approval to enlarge an existing building, according to a Sept. 9 report from SILive.com.

The Indiana Joint Replacement started construction on its $28 million surgery center in Noblesville, Ind., according to a Sept. 6 report by The Hamilton County Reporter.

Vermont has the fewest ASCs of any state, according to the most recent data from CMS. 

California has the most ASCs of any state and Vermont has the fewest, according to the most recent data from CMS.
