Emporia, Kan.-based Newman Regional Health has filed a request to change the zoning code with the area planning commission in an effort to prevent Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont-Vail Hospital from building an ASC, according to an Oct. 31 report from KVOE.

Cincinnati Children's began construction on a two-story medical building in Eastgate, Ohio, according to an Oct. 27 report by ABC affiliate WCPO.

Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare has proposed to build a medical office building with an ASC in Stafford Township, N.J., app.com reported Oct. 30.

Madison-based Orthopedic and Spine Centers of Wisconsin plans to open a surgery center by November 2024, The Wisconsin State Journal reported Oct. 30.

Durango, Colo.-based Mercy Hospital has broken ground on an ASC and medical office building on the hospital's campus, according to an Oct. 26 report from the Durango Herald.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Ascension Saint Thomas is opening an ASC in partnership with United Surgical Partners International and Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance, the Rutherford County Source reported Oct. 26.

NorthShore-Edward-Elmhurst Health broke ground on a 71,000-square-foot cardiovascular institute in Naperville, Ill., according to an Oct. 19 report by RE Journals.
