New ASC Development

Tallahassee (Fla.) Orthopedic Clinic is set to begin construction on its new spine and joint surgical center. 

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C., was granted conditional approval from the state to build an ASC, the Triad Business Journal reported Nov. 14.

Amarillo (Texas) Medical Specialists are breaking ground on a three-story, 87,000-square-foot medical office building on Nov. 17, according to a Nov. 13 report from MyHighPlains.com. 

Construction is underway at Stoughton (Wis.) Health's 56,000-square-foot medical outpatient building project that is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025, according to a Nov. 13 report from The Stoughton Courier Hub. 

Hundreds of new ASCs have been proposed or developed so far in 2023, but a handful are sparking objections from state residents and competing health systems.
