New ASC Development

Mount Vernon, Wash.-based Skagit Regional Health is planning to open a new ASC, goskagit.com reported Nov. 28.

Alabama, a state that requires a certificate of need to build surgery centers, has seen recent ASC activity. 

Henderson, Nev.-based Crovetti Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine has opened a second location in Las Vegas, Nevada Business reported Nov. 27. 

MedStar Medical Group, which is part of Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health, has signed a lease with St. John Properties for an additional 19,739 square feet of space in a four-story medical office building, Eye on Annapolis reported Nov. 26.

Healthcare Resources has purchased a 91-acre campus in Hoover, Ala., that it plans to convert into a mixed-use center anchored by an ASC and physician medical offices, according to a Nov. 20 report from the Hoover Sun.

Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Medical Group has leased 19,739 square feet inside of a four-story Annapolis, Md.-based medical office building where it plans to open an ASC, according to a Nov. 20 report from the Daily Record.

Northwest Community Healthcare, an affiliate of Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem, has opened a three-story medical office building in Schaumburg, Ill., according to a LinkedIn post from the practice. 

Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital has unveiled a new medical arts pavilion featuring an ASC and state-of-the-art outpatient services, including same-day surgical care, diagnostic procedures and specialty clinics, according to a Nov. 16 report from The Boca Raton Observer.

Two of the largest hospital systems in Chattanooga, Tenn., have partnered to build a $23.2 million ASC inside a former U.S. Xpress office building, according to a Nov. 15 report from the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
