New ASC Development

A new ASC in Orlando, Fla., has secured $22.5 million in funding from Raleigh, N.C.-based First Citizens Bank. 

A 10,500-square-foot ASC will be built in Munster, Ind., Valpo.Life reported Feb. 3.

Stafford, Conn.-based Johnson Memorial Hospital is planning an upgrade of its Enfield, Conn., surgery center, according to a Feb. 5 report by Hartford Business Journal.

Jacksonville Beach, Fla.-based Horizon Surgery Center — the first joint ASC between Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health and ASC management organization Compass Surgical Partners — is set to open in early February, according to a Feb. 4 report from Jacksonville.com. 

Community Health Development Partners has announced plans to open a $20 million ASC in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Nashville-based HCA Healthcare has proposed a new ASC in Hanover, Va., in the same spot where the system proposed a new hospital one year ago, according to a Feb. 1 report from Richmond Bizsense. 

Here are four ASCs being developed in states that require a certificate of need for surgery centers that Becker's has reported on since Jan. 3:

Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Halifax Health plans to open a new medical office building in Port Orange, Fla., by the end of 2024, according to a Jan. 31 report from the Daytona Beach News-Journal. 

New York City-based NYU Langone Health has opened a 260,000-square-foot ambulatory center in Garden City, N.Y., in a former Bloomingdale's and Sears building, according to a Jan. 31 report from the Commercial Property Executive.
