A real estate firm is seeking approval from city planning directors for a medical office building in San Jose, Calif., according to a March 12 report from The Mercury News.

Wilmington, Del.-based Nemours Children's Health has opened its fifth outpatient care center in Southeastern Pennsylvania, according to a March 11 report from the Philadelphia Business Journal .

Northern Arizona Healthcare is building an outpatient surgery in Flagstaff, Ariz., the health system said March 11.

Here are three updates on ASC activity in California that Becker's has reported on since Feb. 1:

A 30,000-square-foot, three-story medical office building has been approved in Holly Springs, Ga., according to a March 6 report from the Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News.

Palomar Health opened an ASC in partnership with Deerfield, Ill.-based ASC operator SCA Health in Escondido, Calif.

Salem (Ohio) Regional Medical Center plans to launch a phased opening of its new SRMC Surgery & Outpatient Pavilion in Columbiana, Ohio, beginning at the end of March, according to a March 5 report from CBS affiliate WKBN.

New Lenox, Ill.-based Silver Cross Hospital and Premier Suburban Medical Group are set to open a multispecialty center in Orland Park, Ill.

The Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission has preliminarily approved three medical office buildings in Rehoboth Beach, Del., according to a March 2 report from DelawareOnline.com.
