New ASC Development

San Antonio-based Methodist Hospital Northeast opened an outpatient surgery department in its newest medical office building, Community Impact reported Oct. 1.

Here are 17 new ASCs that broke ground or plan to build in September: 

New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System has opened Peakpoint Midtown West Surgery Center, a 25,106-square-foot ASC. 

St. Louis-based Mercy, the Heartland Whole Health Institute and the Alice L. Walton Foundation announced a $700 million, 30-year affiliation agreement, Phelps County Focus reported Sept. 24.

Austin (Texas) Regional Clinic has broken ground on a 65,000-square-foot, two-story ASC and specialty clinic, according to a Sept. 20 report from Community Impact.

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health plans to open a two-story outpatient facility in a former Verizon Wireless call center in Wilmington, N.C., according to a Sept. 19 report from Wilmington Biz.

Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network has opened its seventh medical office building, according to a Sept. 19 report from the Saucon Source.
