New ASC Development

Here is a state-by-state breakdown of ASCs that were announced, constructed or opened in 2024, as reported by Becker's: 

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist has earned a certificate of need for a $25 million multispecialty outpatient surgical center at its eye institute, according to a Dec. 12 report from the Triad Business Journal. 

Here are three new ASCs that have opened or are planning openings in the Midwest, as reported by Becker's since Dec. 2:

A $21 million surgery center is coming to Ames, Iowa, as part of a partnership between Mary Greeley Medical Center and McFarland Clinic, also located in Ames, according to a Dec. 6 report from the Ames Tribune.

Plans for a two-story medical office building in Carlsbad, Calif., were unanimously approved by the city council on Dec. 3, according to a Dec. 4 report from The Coast News Group.

A Sutter Health facility in Folsom, Calif., has earned approval from the city's planning commission after first being announced in January, according to a Dec. 2 report from ABC 10.

The American Pain Consortium has opened a new ASC in Brownsburg, Ind., specializing in interventional pain management.
