Tennessee Urology's Urologic Surgery Center of Knoxville is the area's first surgery center exclusively dedicated to urologic surgery.

Towson, Md.-based SurgCenter Development started 2019 off in full-on growth-mode, with the company entering into several new partnerships to begin the year.

Las Vegas-based Mountain's Edge Hospital completed a $7 million project that expands its orthopedic services, Las Vegas Business Press reports.

Knoxville, Tenn.-based Tennova Healthcare opened an ASC in early June, nearly a year after cutting certain services at Lakeway Regional Hospital.

Baptist Health South Florida has big plans — including ASCs — for its soon-to-be affiliate, Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital, Boca Raton Magazine reports.

Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center, Saratoga Hospital and an 18-physician group gained clearance for their surgery center development, Albany Business Review reports.

Fitch Ratings predicted Prisma Health-Upstate's annual investment in strategic initiatives — including an ASC — will fall between $250 million and $305 million over the next five years, according to The Greenville News, part of the USA Today network.
