New ASC Development

Mountain Home, Ark.-based Baxter Regional Medical Center broke ground on an outpatient surgery center Dec. 18, the Baxter Bulletin reports.

More than 200 ASCs have been opened or announced since January. Here's a breakdown by month:

Potsdam, N.Y.-based St. Lawrence Health System held an open house for the Leroy Outpatient Center Dec. 18, NNY360 reports.

Utica, N.Y.-based Mohawk Valley Health System broke ground Dec. 12 on a medical center campus that will occupy 25 acres in downtown Utica, according to the Rome Sentinel.

The Clifton Park (N.Y.) Planning Board granted Clifton Park-based Ellis Medical Center an additional year to act on a project the hospital previously canceled, The Daily Gazette reports.

Southern Surgical Outpatient Surgery Center opened in Greenville, N.C., in October, and from day one has included bundled pricing, according to a report from WITN, a local NBC affiliate.

A new joint venture building with an ASC and other outpatient services is set to open in Livonia, Mich. in 2021, according to Crain's Detroit Business.

Rocky Mountain Eye Center opened a new location in Pueblo, Colo., its 11th clinical location, The Pueblo Chieftain reports.
