New ASC Development

Las Cruces, N.M.-based Three Crosses Regional Hospital opened with a medical office building and ASC on its campus, HC+ONews reported Feb. 10.

Here are five hospitals and health systems that opened or announced plans for an ASC in January:

Beloit Health System appealed OrthoIllinois' plan to develop a surgery center in Beloit, Wis., according to a Feb. 8 Beloit Daily News report.

Mountain Home, Ark.-based Baxter Regional Medical Center cut the ribbon on its outpatient surgery center, developed in collaboration with physicians, on Feb. 5, according to a report from KTLO, a local radio station.

Baton Rouge (La.) General Center for Health plans to open an outpatient surgery center for patients within the next few weeks, according to a report in The Advocate.

Duluth, Minn.-based Essentia Health plans to build an outpatient surgery center in a former shopping mall, according to a StarTribune report.
