New ASC Development

Gilbert, Ariz.-based Comprehensive Integrated Care's 16,000-square-foot ASC is now operational. 

An ophthalmologist received approval to convert a restaurant into an ASC in New York, Buffalo Business First reported March 29.

Norwalk-based the Surgery Center of North Central Ohio opened in January and has seen 50 patients since, the Norwalk Reflector reported March 27.

A partnership between Surgery Partners, Ryan Companies US and St. Peters, Mo.-based Advanced Bone & Joint broke ground on St. Peters Ambulatory Surgery Center and Medical Office Building.

Wilmington (N.C.) Health is planning to open an ASC in 2022, according to a March 24 report from WilmingtonBiz.

Lansing, Mich.-based Sparrow Hospital is closing its day care center for employees to build its outpatient surgery center, according to a March 23 report from the Lansing State Journal.

Florida had the busiest start to ASC activity in 2021, with four ASCs that opened or were announced in the first quarter.
