New ASC Development

Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based SoutheastHealth is embarking on a $125 million expansion that includes an ASC and an orthopedics and sports medicine center, KFVS12 reported May 13. 

Grand Island, Neb.-based CHI Health St. Francis will open its new surgery center May 19, local news affiliate KSNB reported May 12.

A new ASC, dubbed the Western PA Surgery Center Beaver County Branch, is opening in Center Township, Pa. 

Surgery Center Services of America is opening two ASCs — one in Houston and one in Napa, Calif., CEO Philip Blair confirmed to Becker's ASC Review. 

Kerrville, Texas-based Peterson Health plans to include a surgery center as part of an expansion, Hill Country Community Journal reported May 12.

Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics has opened a 31,000-square-foot facility that features an ASC and a Mako robot for joint replacements in McDonough, Ga.

Becker's ASC Review reported on 17 ASCs opened or announced by health systems in April.

Ortho Rhode Island opened an ASC in Warwick on March 29 and has since expanded its surgery offerings for knee procedures, according to a LinkedIn post by Engage Surgical.

Salem (Ore.) Health's new outpatient surgery center is now seeing patients, according to a May 9 LinkedIn post. 

Pittsburgh-based St. Clair Health hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its $125 million outpatient center May 6, The Almanac reported.
