New ASC Development

The ASC industry is becoming increasingly consolidated, but physicians still are opening ASCs independently, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

A joint venture between Texas Orthopaedic Associates Fort Worth and Vaquero Ventures purchased medical real estate to house the orthopedic practice and an ASC, according to a May 17 release.

Six of Surgery Center Services' planned ASCs are ophthalmology-based, CEO Philip Blair told Becker's ASC Review.

Cardiology procedures are increasingly migrating to ASCs, and Becker's ASC Review has reported on four cardiology ASCs opened in 2021. 

An ASC estimated to cost $3 million was proposed in Colchester, Vt.

Construction is underway for Bradley, Ill.-based Oak Orthopedics' new facility in Bourbonnais, Ill., that will feature an ASC, medical office building and radiology suite.
