Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va., held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its renovated surgery center, NBC affiliate WCYB reported July 8.

SurgCenter Development is finishing an ASC in East Lansing, Mich., according to a LinkedIn post by Kadean Construction Company, the construction company involved with the project. 

MNGI Digestive Health is building a new clinic and ASC in Vadnais Heights, Minn., according to a LinkedIn post by Davis, a real estate company involved with the project. 

Empire Eye Physicians completed its clinic and ASC in Spokane Valley, Wash., according to Bernando | Wills Architects, an architecture and planning firm involved in the project.

Texas is a non-certificate-of-need state with a long history in the ASC industry, making it prime for ASC growth. 

Ascension Saint Thomas is opening a $16 million ASC in Murfreesboro, Tenn., in August, the Daily News Journal reported July 5. 

Compass Surgical Partners is finishing up an ASC in Asheville, N.C., according to a July 4 LinkedIn post. 

AdventHealth is looking into adding a new hospital campus that would include a surgery center and a hotel in Orlando, Fla., the Orlando Business Journal reported July 1.

Boston Children's Hospital is planning a $435 million suburban expansion, which will include an ASC, the Boston Globe reported July 1. 

Austin (Texas) Eye is opening a location with an ASC on July 29, according to a Community Impact report.
