New ASC Development

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs opened a new outpatient clinic in Tulsa, Okla., to provide care to approximately 36,000 veterans.

Raleigh, N.C.-based Rex Healthcare, a subsidiary of UNC Healthcare, built a medical building with an ASC, according to New City Design Group, a design group involved with the project.

Northwest Eye Surgeons opened an ophthalmology clinic and ASC in Seattle, according to an Aug. 13 LinkedIn post. 

Indiana University Health opened a multispecialty ASC in Fort Wayne, Ind., CBS affiliate WANE 15 reported Aug. 12.  

Quincy (Ill.) Medical Group in the coming weeks will officially open a five-operating room surgery center that has been in the works since 2019, ABC affiliate KHQA reported Aug. 11.

Physician-owned Durango, Colo.-based Animas Surgical Hospital's new ASC performed its first procedures, the hospital said Aug. 10. 

SurgiCore Surgical Centers is building an ASC in New York City, according to the Mann Report.

Intermountain Healthcare broke ground Aug. 10. on a surgery center at The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Murray, Utah, local news outlet KUTV reports.

A new ASC for gastrointestinal procedures is coming to Ascension St. Vincent's One Nineteen campus in Hoover, Ala., according to the Birmingham Business Journal.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health received approval from the state to build an outpatient surgery center on the campus of Cone Health MedCenter Kernersville (N.C.), Rockingham Now reported Aug. 10.
