From New York to California, here are 33 ASCs opened or announced in August, as reported by Becker's ASC Review.

Emanate Health broke ground Aug. 27 on a medical building in West Covina, Calif., the health system said. 

Hammes Healthcare broke ground on an outpatient tower for University of Rochester Medicine Center for Orthopaedics and Physical Performance in Henrietta, N.Y., GlobeSt.com reported Aug. 31. 

Jackson Township-based Ohio Head and Neck Surgeons is opening an ASC, The Repository reported Aug. 31.

Arise Vascular and local physicians opened a cardiovascular ASC in Lafayette, La., according to an Aug. 30 release. 

Parma, Ohio-based Apex Skin Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center will open its11th office in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

Iredell Health System performed the first procedure at its new surgery clinic in Mooresville, N.C., according to the health system.

The U.P. Surgery Center in Marquette, Mich., hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 27, Upper Michigan Source reported. 

Vail (Colo.) Health in November is expected to open a $70 million medical center with an ASC that specializes in orthopedic and pain management procedures, Summit Daily reported Aug. 28.

Bowling Green, Ky.-based Interventional Pain Specialists has seen rising demand for its services after the trend away from opioid prescriptions, and now the company is looking to open an ASC focused on non-narcotic pain treatments, according to The Bowling-Green Daily News.
