New ASC Development

From Massachusetts to Arizona, here are the 21 ASCs opened or announced in July, as reported by Becker's ASC Review. 

SoutheastHEALTH broke ground on the second phase of its $125 million expansion featuring an ASC in Cape Girardeau, Mo., local CBS affiliate KFVS12 reported July 30. 

Austin-based Advanced Pain Care opened a new ASC and completed its first case.

Catholic Health received state approval for a $66 million hospital in Lockport, N.Y., with an outpatient surgery center, Buffalo News reported July 29.  

Tobias Carling, MD, left his position as professor of surgery and program director of the Yale endocrine surgery fellowship to open an adrenal surgery center in Tampa, Fla.

Quincy, Ill.-based Blessing Health System is opening a $21 million ASC this fall, the health system said July 27.

An ASC for One Step Diagnostic, a Houston-based medical imaging practice, has been completed in Sugar Land, Texas.

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus will begin construction on a $154 million orthopedic and surgery center later this year.

The Albert Lea (Minn.) Healthcare Coalition completed construction on a full-service primary care clinic that will be staffed by Mason City-based MercyOne North Iowa.
