New ASC Development

AdventHealth will begin operations Oct. 12 at a $300 million surgery center on its Tampa (Fla.) hospital campus, according to the Tampa Bay Times. 

Minneapolis-based cloud software company Fision and Ft. Myers (Fla.) ASC are building an orthopedic ASC in Ft. Myers, the companies said Sept. 22.

Montefiore Nyack (N.Y.) Hospital has submitted an application for an orthopedic ambulatory care center to the town of Clarkstown's planning board, the Rockland County Business Journal reported Sept. 21.

Builders have broken ground on a $335.8 million University of California San Francisco Medical Center facility that will house an ASC, according to a news release.

The Beloit (Wis.) City Council voted unanimously to change the city's "hospital" zoning category with the broader term "medical facility," Beloit Daily News reported Sept. 21.

Lansing, Mich.-based Sparrow Health System's board of directors approved a plan to build multiple ASCs in the area, among other projects, the company said Sept. 20.

Augusta Health is building an outpatient pavilion in Fishersville, Va., according to Barton Malow, a construction company involved with the project. 

Construction began on a medical building that will house a cardiology practice in Stockbridge, Ga., Henry County Times reported Sept. 16. 

Springfield, Mo.-based Jordan Valley Community Health Center is renovating a former Price Cutter grocery store into an ASC, SBJ Publishing reported Sept. 15.
