New ASC Development

American Surgical Group's 16,000-square-foot ASC in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., is nearing completion, the company said Oct. 14. 

Virginia Physicians for Women will open a new facility featuring an ASC in Richmond Oct. 25, according to local NBC affiliate WWBT. 

Prescott, Ariz.-based Yavapai Regional Medical Group opened a new orthopedic surgery center in Prescott Valley, the company said Oct. 14.

USA Health is building a health center in Fairhope, Ala., that will feature an ASC, the company said recently. 

Perryton, Texas-based Ochiltree General Hospital is celebrating the beginning of construction of a surgery center on its campus, High Plains Observer Perryton reported Oct. 12. 

Here are five ASCs costing at least $50 million that opened or were announced in the last month: 

St. Luke's Duluth (Minn.) and Gateway Clinic are joining forces for a multimillion-dollar ASC in Moose Lake, Minn., the hospital said Oct. 13. 

Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine has proposed a surgery center in Tinley Park, Ill., that would cost more than $69 million, the Chicago Tribune reported Oct. 12.

Construction has been completed on Plymouth (Mass.) Pediatric Associates' new medical office building offering ambulatory surgery, according to Medical Construction & Design Magazine. 

Pain Treatment Centers of America cut the ribbon at its new clinic and ASC in Searcy, Ark., the company said Oct. 9.
